Queen-to-be Lili'uokalani and Queen Kapi'olani traveled to England to attend Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. At the celebration, each guest was given a gold bracelet with their name in black enamel Old English lettering. Lili'uokalani commissioned her jewelers to craft more in a similar style and adding flowers and local motifs. These have been handed down the generations. They have now become heritage jewelry and adopted by many island residents. Blue Light Special. County police use their personal vehicles while on duty. They install a blue light on the roof. Only the Marshals and State Police have fleet cars fitted with permanent light bars. Don't try to outrun a blue light special.
