In the Aloha Spirit, Tom & Dianne Brookman welcome you to VIP B&B,  to their acre and a half of Hawaiian heaven.

Country peace and quiet is just over the river on the Hamakua Coast.  Conveniently located five minutes from historic downtown Hilo and only ten minutes from the airport, it is rural and a world away, after crossing the "Singing bridge" to the Wainaku area.  The B&B is nestled into garden and greenery, a small rainforest, and no other houses nearby.

Beautiful oval beveled glass and mahogany double doors welcome you to this lovely three level island home appointed with lace, lauhala* and Hawaiian Aloha fabrics.  The main entry hall separates the guestrooms and the common rooms.  Covered decks off every room and lots of windows provide for viewing a year round stream, garden with lush vegetation and Hilo Bay.

Knowledgeable and friendly hosts are happy to share with you facts and points of interest to help make your Big Island experience wonderful.  Their warmth and gracious hospitality is demonstrated in the attitude of  "drop right in -- take your shoes off -- sit a spell" --  as they impart island culture and history to you. Dedicated to your comfort and care, they welcome you to play the grand piano, use videos (DVDs), play CDs, peruse the library, watch TV and jacuzzi. You're welcome to check your email, surf the net, or write a letter on the guest computer.

A sumptuous and bountiful breakfast of fresh island fruits and juices, breads or muffins, entree, and of course, Kona coffee and an assortment of teas, is served in the dining room with a view of Hilo Bay or on the lanai with gentle breezes.  A convenient nook houses a self-serve coffee/tea station for refreshment at anytime of day or night.

Meet the innkeepers on "da Family" page.

*Lauhala is pandanus leaf woven into mats and used for many items by early Hawaiians.
